Hate the lines at grocery stores? Does self-serve sound like too much effort? The UK’s first grocery store that only uses a smartphone has launched in London.
Trends in shopping are changing all of the time. This move away from the traditional checkout is a unique shopping experience that many have never imagined – in store. Me included.
How does it work?
The store has an app that you download on your phone. While shopping, you scan any products you want. Once you have all the items you want to purchase, you simply pay through the same app. You can then bag and walk out with your groceries in hand. It is an extremely simple process for cashless users.
Not wanting to pay virtually? They have a single customer service cashier that can help.
Can this come to the US?!
This London location is only a 3 month trial. However, if successful, this trend could take off like wildfire!
