There are no shortcuts in digital marketing. Well, as long as you don’t go around taking over Wikipedia pages with photos of your product. In that case you will just make potential customers mad and destroy your brand trust.

If you could not guess from my sarcasm, dropping their images into Wiki pages is exactly what The North Face did. While those images usually rank first in searches, their false popularity killed what real popularity they already had.

Trust is important in business. So is marketing your business in an honest way. Do not do what The North Face did. Make sure you maintain customer trust through legitimate practices and marketing.

When you are marketing your product or service, what works best for you?
