There is a trend among the bigger companies that is good for employees everywhere: They are assisting with school costs.

Walmart has their $1 per day college tuition assistance. McDonald’s even offers a large sum for those working enough part time hours to qualify. Their programs are helping people receive quality education. More so, they are drawing in more employee’s.

The fact of the matter is that your next talent is not only seeking good wages. With unemployment down, they are able to be a little more picky. They are looking for good benefits!

Whether or not you should offer education assistance really depends on your company. Even if you cannot compete with the likes of $1-per-day programs, now may be a good time to look at or overhaul your own benefit programs in general.

Quality insurance options or employee discounts are quite attractive, too.

How do you draw in your talent?
