So, when I returned to work, I returned to many rules and changes. One of which is the mask requirement.
I wouldn’t care if the provided masks actually fit my face!
So, I am working on knitting masks I can wash and wear for work. My original used a yarn that was too thin. So, I revised.
This mask uses a much thicker yarn, knitted on 3mm needles, and I put thick floral wire in the nose to hold it in place.
I am fond of this design alteration. Next I would like to make the under ear part of the loop a little longer so the upper string that ties does not need to curve as much to make the ear loops.
This is an altered version of Vicki Mann’s surgical mask pattern, if you want to make your own.
It is hard going getting the right fit isn’t it? But your knitted mask looks fab 😷

It is! I keep adjusting the pattern for my needs. Finding the right yarn is hard too. Thank you!
