I was down to two colors in hat yarn, pink and green. I figured, “Why not mix them together?!” The result is this lovely, striped watermelon-colored hat!
Completely accidental I might add.
As you can see, I am not done with it. I just wanted to take a moment to show you guys the progress I have made. I have one last green stripe to do then I finish the top. This is yet another one for the hospital donation bin. Some lucky newborn will get to wear the taste of summer on their head!
As my studies have taken on a life of their own, knitting helps me relax and stay sane. I overexerted myself and overestimated my ability to study nonstop – who needs sleep?!
Until yesterday when I crashed. I did not feel well, I was physically and emotionally exhausted. I slept for the entire day, only stopping to eat dinner.
So, here I wanted to show you what I have done to help me pull back. I am no longer physically feeling ill. I am no longer emotionally feeling ill. I just need to work at a slightly slower pace or else risk completely crashing again.
Learn from my mistakes. Don’t be afraid to work hard but don’t overwork yourself either. Know your limits and knit on!
