Arthritis on a Rampage: The Lumbar, Bilateral Sciatica, and Buckling of Joints.

By

Life is giving me some lemons. I’m doing my best to make lemonade.

Originally, I thought the compression socks were ruining my life.

No. Arthritis is.

As I mentioned in my gratitude earlier, I was in the ER yesterday. Walking, sitting, well, anything is really a chore right now.

When the ER doctor checked my back, he touched “the spot.” I started crying. Apparently, my muscles spasmed. I’m in some serious pain.

An X-ray confirmed increased arthritis. My lumbar had been deteriorating in that area for a while.

In this video game called life, it leveled up.

Friday, I was a mess. I couldn’t walk right. I couldn’t sit. After a 2-hour nap, I was more capable, just not great.

While cooking, my right knee buckled. I managed to catch myself and grab a seat fast. It took about 10 minutes to recover, but I did.

Apparently, this ties into the newly bilateral sciatica. It was once just my right side. It was also occasional, you know, once upon a time.

This increased arthritis in my lumbar is rocking my world.

This is how I am going to move into my 40s. Disabled by arthritis.

I updated my doctor. I see the pain clinic on Wednesday. We’ll see what happens from here. I need relief of some kind. Life is a lot right now.
