Happy Memorial Day from Michigan!
This weekend was my birthday weekend, ending with me turning the big 4-0 yesterday. I am grateful to say that I had a great time this weekend.

My daughter came down to see me. She had something with her boyfriend’s family, too. Otherwise, it was going to be on my birthday. I didn’t care.
Seeing my lovely daughter was the best gift ever!
Ed took us all to dinner, and it was great chatting with her for a while. I always miss her.

The big day! A palindrome to boot!
Ed, who doesn’t celebrate birthdays. He calls them “just another day,” but he went out of his way to make it special.
We drove to a city 40 minutes away, and took me to Michaels to buy yarn! I assure you, I bought some amazing yarn to make more clothing. This included the 4 Caron Cloud Cakes that I picked out. I’m going to make a blanket with those. That yarn is soft as heck. We also grabbed lunch at Fazoli’s.
I learned that sitting on Chuck Norris (My “Cordell Walker, Texas Ranger”. Get it?) while in a restaurant is much more comfortable. Probably because of the width is offers my butt. It also sits higher, causing less curving nerve pain. It isn’t perfect, but it does bring back some normalcy to my life.
Later, I will try to post the Gratitude Jar entry for today. I have a lot to do and find sitting to be… a struggle. I wanted to make sure these were up first, even if I am not ready to write one for today.
