Proof That Illness Can’t Stop Passion, Purpose, or Progress
I am so proud of that professional certificate featured above. You see, I did it. Last year, I finally completed my Associate of Arts degree with a focus on Business Fundamentals. That was all I hoped to do. It was on my bucket list, as it was my greatest regret leaving it incomplete.
Today, I opened my email to the next in a line of many accomplishments to come since this time last year: my certified professional certificate for the program I just completed.
Graduating Through Brain Fog, Pain, and Sheer Grit
For a second year, I graduate with another accomplishment under my belt. Ironically, I fought through the past year, having to deal with so many health struggles. I had classes where I thought I would have to quit. At one point, I snapped emotionally due to pure stress.
I know exactly what I lived through trying to reach this point. Receiving that email this morning was more than a moment of pride. It was having a visual that represented the true determination of my spirit and unwillingness to stay down when my health would press the brake.
I did it through headaches, fatigue, brain fog, intolerable pain, and so many self-doubts.
I knew I could do it.
