How I’m Progressing Through Statistics, The National Society of Leadership and Success, and My Hope That Comprehension Alone Will Help Me Survive.
My health seems to be declining. When I decided to go back to school, I had just realized that I was on a rollercoaster. Those peaks and valleys were much smaller than they are now, two years later.
As of today, I feel like I am climbing Mt. Everest and dropping at unbelievable speeds.
My mornings are when I am the most clear-headed. I spend my mornings working on schoolwork because of this.
I can think, so I can work!
If I want to graduate with honors again, I have to receive an A in every class until completion.
Surviving Business Data Analytics
So far, working on school when I am the most mentally adept is helping. I finished my last course with an A. I am currently in Business Data Analytics, and I am still on track. I started week 3 of 5 yesterday, and I currently have an A.
I would like to note that Dr. Vitale is an amazing instructor. Between podcasts with equation breakdowns and engaging discussions, I’m understanding the mathematical concepts better than I normally would.
My loving partner once joked:
Either you’re insanely smart or your school is too easy!
Bless him because I think he is right on both fronts. Not in an egotistical sense, but grounded in realism.
I am smart.
I think in nonlinear constellations. I am really good at adapting to the best mental advantage for myself. My comprehension is strong, even if my processing is stunted. I’m also more adept at school when I am not in social settings.
Yes, UOPx is known for being easier than some other schools.
Remember, they specialize in adult education. They target people like me, not recent high school graduates. They often start a course with refresher information. This is especially true in the Associate program I completed in 2024.
My professional certification wasn’t easy, though. I worked hard through those courses. They were much more complex and intensive.
I think it depends on the path you are taking and your comprehension of the topic. Business concepts make sense to me, so I struggle less.
So, yes. I am smart. The concepts are also easier for me to understand because it is one of my strengths, which makes the adult educational aspect even easier.
Accepting my Nomination Into The National Society of Leadership and Success
On Friday, I accepted my nomination into The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). I wanted to join a long time ago. I started receiving nominations in 2024, but I couldn’t afford the lifetime membership.
I found the money this time. I can only enter as an undergraduate, so I knew it was now or never. Credentials matter in business, and this one is geared toward business professionals like me.
Due to my health, I knew this was going to be tricky. Before induction, I have to complete the first level of leadership training. My mental capacity seems to clock out for the day around noon.
I handle my school responsibilities on a Monday to Friday schedule. My weekends are free. So, I’m taking advantage of morning clarity every weekend.
I did check reviews before joining. They are quite varied. The negative reviews outweigh the positive; that is true. Though my first-hand experience is a little different.
There are tons of leadership resources. However, you must actively access your member area to see it all. You have to preemptively indulge yourself.
Just because that works for me doesn’t make it right for everyone.
I completed orientation last weekend. I’m hoping to make some good progress this coming weekend. I’ll do what I can, but I hope to complete the program steps quickly.

With the back-to-school season in full swing, I feel her custom goods are the perfect feature. She offers a variety of goods, from custom gift tags to tree ornaments. However, her custom pencils win the day in my opinion.
I hope you take a moment to support a small business today!
I cannot say this enough:
I love having an affiliation with Etsy. I love being able to share small businesses that use the platform for sales.

School is keeping me grounded. When everything feels so wrong, I am grateful to have my education as a reminder that I am still capable. This is important when all else feels like I am drowning.
Self-care is about finding that grounding force that keeps you from sinking. You might be a dumpster fire on the inside. The care you put into yourself is an important reminder that you are not your disabilities. You are thriving with disabilities.
Education is how I thrive.
