I Am Grateful For Hello Kitty & Her Ability To Bridge Age Barriers.
I had a lovely moment yesterday that absolutely felt wonderful. I wanted to talk about it because it is nice to share the little things that warm my heart and bring a sense of gratitude.
My boyfriend’s friend asked him if he’d transfer her son’s data from his old hard drive to his new one. Yesterday, her son and daughter came over so he could help.
I noticed the car keys had Kuromi on them, so I came into the bedroom and grabbed one of my Kuromi spa headbands. I received it when I bought some self-care scoops a while back. I gave it to her.
She thanked me, and we talked for a moment. I found out that she is primarily a Hello Kitty collector. However, she also likes Pom Pom Purin, too. I’ve had a Pom Pom Purin stress ball for a while that is still in its packaging. So, I grabbed it and put it with her keys. When she noticed, I was graced with the biggest smile!
It turns out that she collects squishy items. It clearly made her day. We proceeded to discuss Hello Kitty and our collections for a while after. She is a young woman, only 18. However, it felt heartwarming.
I miss my daughter a lot. That moment felt a lot like when I visit with my daughter. It was that genuine. My gratitude runs deep for genuine moments like this.
With all that said…
I am grateful for those incidental moments that are anything but incidental.
Have a beautiful day, friends. I hope your weekend is beautiful and bright, like you!
